Building an Experimentation Culture: The Puzzle That Has No Fixed Order
Maturity models and audits don’t help. Every organization is different, and almost none of the experts we spoke to believe in one fixed end state.
The Initial has set up dozens of experimentation programs. In addition, we asked 13 experienced experimentation leads how they built an experimentation culture and where things went wrong. What did we find? Maturity can also decline, for example after a reorganization, a new management team, or the departure of that one driving force.
In this webinar, we will show:
- the four corner pieces you need to get started: a clear business reason, leadership support, reliable data, and a team that can run and explain a good test
- the pieces needed to scale: from gatekeeper to coach, processes and standards, goals that are set rather than hoped for, and room for the nuances of each new team
- where programs break down, and what AI changes: the bottleneck shifts from building to prioritizing
You don’t have to put the puzzle together in a particular order. Momentum is more important. You will leave with a picture of where your organization stands and which piece to tackle next.
